What do End of Life Doulas do?

"Doula" originates from the Ancient Greek word doulē, translating today to

‘person of service'.

An end-of-life doula is a non-medical guide supporting people who are dying and/or making plans for the kind of path they would like. An end-of-life doula holds space for the wishes of the person dying, without judgement and without an agenda.

Your doula assists you and your loved ones by complementing medical and palliative services, helping you navigate what can be an overwhelming time, feeling empowered and reassured.
