By exploring your values and what is most important to you, we can work together to make some decisions about:

• An Advance Care Directive,
• Legacy building,
• Where you might like to be when you die and who you will have there,
• How you would like to be cared for after death, and where,
• Any specific feelings you have about a funeral.

Having these things recorded and communicated with your loved ones not only reduces the burden for them when they are grieving, but also provides you with a sense of ease.

Often carers have so many questions, and time with medical and clinical services is limited, we forget what we were going to ask, so not everything is answered when the answer is needed!

I can be available over the phone to field additional questions and do the work for carers to get the right information. This leaves their time with their loved one to focus on simply being there. and helps alleviate anxiety.

I am also be available for a simple chat when it seems there is no one else's shoulder to cry on.

This is an incredibly personal and sensitive time for all involved. Sometimes, emotional needs of the dying person or their loved ones can be difficult to meet by medical service providers alone. 

Whether this happens at home or in a clinical care setting, I can be available to:

• Advocate to ensure your wishes are observed,
• Provide bedside support, 
• Help make the environment as comfortable and gentle as per your wishes with music, candles etc…,
• Continue providing support for carers.

It can be such a relief for family and friends to have an extra person around to take care of some of the ‘details’ at this emotional time.

I can be available to help with the practicalities of either:

• Liaising with a funeral home or,
• Keeping the person who has passed at home if that is what they chose, helping the family to make this a meaningful and special time

I can also support the family during their grief with additional visits, and with funeral planning.

 Hourly rates:

• $85 on weekdays
• $110 on weekends

Circumstances for people vary, and I always make space for sensitive conversations which allow some flexibility if affordability is a concern.
